SWISS WINTER WONDERLAND

We were all quite desperate seeing no snow around: green slopes and springy landscapes were the only shot you could picture until Boxing Day indulged us with the best snow fall of the year!

There is nothing nicer than walking around the village wrapped in this frosted candid white scenario.

Wear thick cable knit jumpers and skinny jeans on super comfortable Ugg boots to grab your hot chocolate on the ice skating rink.

CHRISTMAS CONTEST: THE BEST HOLIDAY DECORATION. WHAT CITY ARE YOU FALLING IN LOVE WITH ?

This year I have been quite proud to see all major cities really improved their efforts to produce amazing Xmas decorations: waking around has been extremely pleasant, relaxing and rewarding  and I felt like I was Alice in wonderland....it is always nice when your eyes send impulses of beauty to your brain, you just smile while walking passed...

Let's start from New York, with 5th and Madison totally dressed up in a million lights and the historical tree at the Rockefeller Plaza imposing all sort of tourist (including me) THE picture to post...
My favorite cozy restaurant Nello's had plenty of pine trees tinsels you cannot miss unless you have twelve bellinis like I did with my girlfriends!  Madison chicest remains to me Ralph Lauren: externally the mansion is lit up with discretion, but when you enter an entire world of magic opens to you with gold and white wonderland displays. Frosted bushes next to gala adorned mannequins makes you wish you need to rush home to get ready for an unforgettable ball; the heritage of super classic and essential beauty is an echo to Ralph's devotion to elegance I deeply admire.

This year London has warmed up all our hearts as every borough had a different character. I must pay tribute to Oxford Street and South Molton, with a cozy yet very classy lighting between the blue and purples hues going from the Claridge's to Selfridge's which was very eye-catching and warm. You felt as pampered las you would be in a little village, yet you knew you were in the best European city.

Despite all this has been rather overwhelming, when I arrived in Milan i couldn't believe what I was looking at.
The whole center was decorated with pine tress bushes and gilded balls hanging up in the sky: Carter and Bulgari mansions looked richer than ever, and an amazing Christmas music especially featured by Radio Monte Carlo was broadcast loud through the day. And what about the "all-lights" old fashion trams, italian Xmas version, and the fabulous massive tree in piazza del Duomo ? Now that the Cathedral has been restored and look completely immaculate,  the shade game  between facade and spiers, playing with  the Galleria's illumination going all the way towards La Scala was just breath taking. An other class compared to the one described below (not that I am influenced by anything...!!!). The thing is Milan has things no other city can praise, so i guess this year's statement says it all.

Merry Xmas Folks!

VINTAGE BLACK BLAZER FOR DANIEL PICADO IN CAROUGE!

Chris Ventouras @Krisal gallery always picks hot and trendy photographers for elegant vernissages on week ends!
This time it was Daniel Picado, whose monochrome portraits and sceneries switch to desaturated colored interiors and neon lighted de-maked up beauties.
I had to wear a rigorously vintage black blazer for the occasion. And same did (we did not speak!) my friend Isabelle. She had a very elegant green one on.
It is so much fun to play with accessories, this time I used one of my oldest Hermès scarves as a belt to tie-up my Jeans with my classic gold buttoned cardigan.
Pony tail , invisible make-up and off you go!

GOODMORNING LONDON! DRESS OCTOBER UP IN STYLE

Autumn is knocking at the door! Get your wool thick tailored blazers and tweeds with your ponchos and scarves out.  When I landed earlier this morning, a wonderful dawn has welcomed me into the UK. I miss my millennium home, those years were to me like water is to desert. Beautiful light announcing many mild days before the week-end...quite unusual. Everybody is still out wearing mid-season suits and no stockings, but I kind of fear this is not going to last...I left awful weather in Europe. This is my favorite season to dress up: not to cold in the evening ,and a perfectly tuned temperature for glamorous daywear, you can mix your lawyers with many different options. Choose a knit flare minidress toned down by a dramatically masculin coat, and highlight it at the same time with biker boots.  Combine  a geometric printed tunic (mustard monochrome mix to die for!) with slimfit jeans and patent stilettos. Jeweled sweaters patterned with gems and stones are now a must for ”decontractee'“ outfits, you would agree they can take you from morning to evening and they look a million dollars if you find a smart piece to spot on. Check the best ones out at Dolce&Gabbana or go to H&M with a smaller budget.

STYLE IT IN PURPLE!

Gugliemo Miani, president of the Montenapoleone association is proud to announce a very challenging achievement: this year Italy got the leadership in wine production,  surpassing France . Rather exciting!  This is why Montenapoleone is hosting a very special edition of the glamorous " Grape Harvest" in the quadrilatero.
Starting Friday of last week, during the whole week-end sixty-nine luxury boutiques are open at night to welcome selected customers for exceptional wine tasting. Let's not forget the patronage of the "grand Cru Italian Association" and of  course "Comune di Milano".
Street decoration was stunning, carpets and temporary plexi lounges on the street, or extemporized gardens celebrating the incoming Autumn with the hues of purples and reds. The outfit I picked was from Pucci, a graphic game to stay tuned with the purples....and taste the best red wines of the year!
